The British Cemetery at Beaumont-Hamel which includes the burial of a German soldier.
Pictures of the trench complex at Beaumont-Hamel and the memorial to the 29th Division (Canadian).
Access to the trench complex is limited to a few trenches to protect the trenches being damaged by the large number of visitors. This was the first time I had seen an actual World War One trench system and I was amazed by the sheer scale. These photographs taken on the 11th November 2008 should give you some idea of the depth of the trench system.
Memorial to the offices and men of the Newfoundland Forces who gave their lives in the Great War and who have no known grave.
