Franciscan Junior Mixed School Journey Party 1967:
 
Franciscan Junior Mixed School, Franciscan Road, Tooting 1967. A photograph of the children (my class mates) that went on the school journey to Devon, staying at a hotel in Teignmouth. I have found some letters that I wrote home at the time and I will add these to the web site in due course. I remember a lot of the faces, although only some of the names. In this photograph are Charles Barnes and Marmaduke "Duke" Monroe (back row, centre). I think Michael Charles is on the left of the second to back row (he lived in Garrett Lane), next to Terence Hume (lived in Moring Road or was it Lucien Road?), I'm standing next to Terence with my tie tucked in (very neat), not sure who is standing next to me, but the girl with the Blue Peter badge(?) is Mimi DeSilva, who lived in Topsham Road (I quite liked her). I'm not sure if that's Kevin Stapleton standing behind me? I remember the face of the lad next to Mimi but not his name, then comes Trevor Illsley and then I think Terry Wardle, but I might be wrong about Terry. In front of Terry (if it is Terry) is Josephine Bailey, who lived in Okeburn Road and always helped me tie my shoelaces (I quite liked her too).  I think the houses in the background at in Cowick Road, part of the Totterdown Estate.
